Fire Extinguisher Rentals
NYC · Long Island · New Jersey
Some projects are temporary. Compliance is not. Whether you're running a construction site, producing a film, setting up an outdoor event, or bridging a coverage gap during hydrostatic testing — you need real fire protection. Certified units. Proper tagging. FDNY-valid documentation.
ACE Fire Protection has been doing this across the tri-state area for over 30 years. We know what inspectors check. We know what code requires. And we'll get it to your site fast.
Who Actually Needs to Rent Fire Extinguishers?
More people than realize it. If your situation is temporary, you probably shouldn't be buying. Here's where rentals make sense.
Job Sites & Renovations
FDNY and OSHA both require fire protection on active sites under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.157 and NFPA 10. The requirement doesn't pause between phases. We supply staged, tagged units and pick them up when the job wraps.
Special Events & Festivals
NYC event permits routinely require documented fire protection on-site. Outdoor markets, concerts, pop-up venues, trade shows — if you're pulling a permit in the five boroughs, fire equipment is part of the deal.
Film & TV Productions
On-set fire safety requirements are not flexible. We work with productions regularly — delivering on your call sheet, staging units where your safety coordinator needs them, and picking up when you wrap.
Hydrostatic Testing Gap Coverage
Pulling cylinders for required hydrostatic testing creates a coverage gap — which is a violation. Our swap-out program puts fully inspected rental units in place before we remove yours. Zero gap. Zero fines.
Temporary Business Operations
Seasonal pop-ups. Temporary office buildouts. Mobile food operations. Trade show displays. If it's temporary but regulated — and most commercial activity in New York is — you need coverage for the duration.
Violation Deadline Coverage
FDNY violation with a court date looming? We provide immediate replacement units and have direct FDNY relationships to help resolve violations fast. Don't face that deadline without coverage in place.

The Right Extinguisher for the Right Fire
Not every extinguisher works on every fire. Using the wrong class doesn't just fail to suppress — in some cases it makes things worse. We assess your site before we deliver anything.
ABC Dry Chemical
Handles Class A (combustibles), B (flammable liquids), and C (electrical) fires. Right choice for most construction sites and general commercial applications.
CO2 (Carbon Dioxide)
Leaves no residue. Ideal for electrical equipment, server rooms, generators, and any environment where cleanup after discharge matters.
Class K
Required for commercial kitchens and sites with cooking oils or high-heat equipment. Mandatory for food service applications under NFPA 10.
Water & Foam
Best for ordinary combustibles. Common on construction sites with significant wood, paper, drywall, or fabric material present.
Clean Agent
For electronics, archival storage, medical equipment, and museum-quality spaces. Suppresses without damaging what it's protecting.
We'll Assess Your Site
Hazard type, square footage, occupancy, and layout all determine what you actually need. That assessment is part of the service — not an add-on.
Why FDNY Approval Matters for Your Rental
A lot of vendors will rent you fire extinguishers. Fewer will rent you units that actually hold up when an inspector checks the tag.
Only FDNY-approved companies can provide legally valid inspection tags and documentation for properties within the five boroughs. Rental units tagged by non-approved vendors don't satisfy FDNY inspection requirements — which means you're covered on paper but exposed in practice.
Our documentation satisfies requirements for event permits, construction compliance, and property inspection. And if a violation comes up while our units are on-site, we have the standing and the relationships to help you resolve it — not just hand you a phone number.

About ACE Fire Protection
"Compromising is never in our vocabulary. We take safety seriously — especially when it comes to fire regulations and equipment."
ACE Fire Protection has been operating out of Brooklyn since the early 1990s. Family-owned and operated, with over 30 years of continuous service across New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey.
In that time, we've served clients that include the NYC Fire Department, the New Jersey Fire Department, and the United States Department of Transportation. When the agencies responsible for fire safety inspection hire us to manage their own equipment, that says something about the quality of our work.
Jack Shammah, our principal, is involved in operations — not removed from them. When you call ACE, you reach people who know this business and know your site. Not an answering service. Not a call center. People who've been solving fire compliance problems in New York for three decades.
Don't Let Fire Safety Be the Thing That Stalls Your Project
Stop-work orders. Event permit revocations. Failed pre-occupancy inspections. These happen fast when documentation doesn't hold up. A rental through ACE costs a fraction of what a compliance problem costs you — and this one is genuinely simple to prevent.
